David Brown, who goes by the name of MussoliniHeadkick, joined the Readers Recommend community in 2017 and got his first A Lister with Nag Nag Nag by Cabaret Voltaire for the topic of Songs That Made You Fall in Love with Music. He “really enjoyed the concept and was delighted to discover the Song Bar” when RR was discontinued at the Guardian.
David tells us: “I’ve been a History teacher for 30 years now which is far more of a respectable job than I ever thought I’d have when I was hanging around with the reprobates from Creation Records (pre-Oasis)”.
He loves listening to “all sorts of music, including that deemed unlistenable in some quarters”.
About that moniker, David says he got it from a song by Cabaret Voltaire on their first EP called Do the Mussolini (Headkick).
He made his debut as a guru for the topic of Drone Music on June 2, 2021.
