Chris Hardman, who hails from Manchester, is not a hard man to please. Just play some Grateful Dead! He joined the Readers Recommend community in late 2007 and quickly founded GTDITL (Get the Dead in the List) which finally succeeded in June 2008. Since then, over 40 Grateful Dead songs have been A-listed, all but four of them nominated by Chris.
Chris’s own first A Lister was VU’s The Gift for Songs With a Twist in April 2008. Besides the Dead, Chris is a fan of Pavement/Stephen Malkmus, Talking Heads, PJ Harvey, Throwing Muses, Velvet Underground/John Cale, Ry Cooder, Richard Thompson, Miles Davis, Bob Dylan, Fatima Mansions, Gomez, Beck, Little Feat and a few others. Oh yes! Chris is also the guy who gave this website its nickname of The Marconium.
