George Boyland came up with his nickname when his original nickname, webcore, got lost in the ether. He has been a member of the community for a very long time and is our resident Captain Beefheart fan. Webby, as he is popularly called, was quick to volunteer for the guru’s chair in 2012 and is the only volunteer guru to have done back-to-back columns. He is our most prolific volunteer guru with over 25 times at bat. He also holds the record for the most times as a volunteer guru in a single year with nine stints in 2017.
